Thank you for reading my blog. I will try my best to write frequently and about current topics that affect each of us.
Here’s a little bit about me so you can get an idea of my interests and what you can look forward to reading. I have a degree in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am passionate about the environment, the ocean, and every creature, big and small. I’m committed to conservation, sustainable seafood awareness/overfishing, and combatting the plastic pollution problem.
Through my company, MINT, I am able to promote plastic products that will solve the issue of current conventional plastics. These conventional plastics can take 1000’s of years to breakdown. They do not degrade, rather they breakdown into smaller and smaller pieces. It is those pieces that are contaminating our planet. As they say, ‘good for a minute, forever in a landfill (or ocean).’ For this reason, you will see many stories on my blog about the Garbage Patches in the ocean, or current legislation to ban plastic bags, even ways to help eliminate bad plastics from your life.
Our MINT products are 100% degradable and will completely disappear in 1-2 years. They do not leave behind toxins, heavy metals, or methane like regular plastic. It is my hope that we can get rid of conventional plastic and switch to a healthier option. MINT products are the answer.
I hope you find my blog interesting and educational. I’m here to make a difference. I feel it is a crucial time to make the change to a more sustainable lifestyle.
